Pre-Teen, Junior, and Youth formation teams: solo (open) work in the Ballroom category is defined as when any couple in the formation team is not in the traditional competitive ballroom hold (which includes the lady's left hand being placed on the man's right shoulder).  These teams may dance up to 50% of their bars of music as solo (open)  work.  At least 50% of their bars of music must be danced completely in the traditional competitive ballroom hold. This does not apply to the Latin American dances in which solo work is normally a part.

The directors of all Ballroom style formation teams must submit their breakdown of Open work that is in their routine.  This is done by completing the Closed and Open Bars for Ballroom Formation Teams chart, and then submitting to Angela Williams.  This must be done no later than Monday, March 9, 2006.  The email address for Angela is angelaw@provo.edu.
