All formation teams will be invigilated for time, entrances and exits, and open work (beats and bars).
Open work is defined as when any couple in the formation team is not in the traditional competitive ballroom hold (which includes the lady's left hand being placed on the man's right shoulder). These teams may dance up to 50% of their bars of music as solo (open) work. At least 50% of their bars of music must be danced completely in the traditional competitive ballroom hold. This does not apply to the Latin American dances in which solo work is normally a part.
Each formation team director needs to download, complete, and then submit the "Formation Team Invigilation Form" in advance to Angela Willias. This includes the times of the team entrances and exits, the time of their routine, and the breakdown of Open work that is in their Ballroom routine.
You may see an example of how a completed Formation Team Invigilation Form looks like by clicking here.
This must be done no later than Monday, March 9, 2006. The email address for Angela is angelaw@provo.edu.
