Curt and Sharon Holman
Curt and Sharon are the Directors of the BYU Ballroom Dance Program at BYU. They both hold a masters degrees in dance, are dual licentiates with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and recognized by the NDCA as "World Class" Adjudicators. As professional dancers Curt and Sharon were consistently ranked in the U.S. finals in the cabaret division, represented the U.S. at the World Cabaret Championships and were twice invited to present their dance at the British Championships in Blackpool England. At the university Sharon directs the international technique program and Curt is a Professor of Dance and the Chair of the Department of Dance. As artistic directors of the renowned BYU Ballroom Dance Company they produce and create a theatrical showcase of ballroom dance that travels nationally or internationally each spring. The BYU Ballroom Dance Company is the current U.S. Ballroom and Latin Formation Champions and frequent winners of the British Formation Championships held in Blackpool England.
Brent holds a Masters Degree in dance. He is dual licentiate with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and is recognized by the NDCA as a "Championship" judge. Currently Brent is the National Committee Executive Secretary for the USISTD. Brent is a full time faculty member at BYU. As an Assistant Professor Brent is integral in the administration of the BYU ballroom program. His excellence in teaching and choreogrpahy are evidenced by his direction of the BYU Youth Dancesport "A" Teams which have won the U.S. Youth Latin and Ballroom Formation Championships multiple times.
Marci is a former U.S. Amateur Latin Champion and an adjunct faculty member at BYU. She holds a Masters Degree in dance, is a dual licentiate with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, and is recognized by the NDCA as a "Championship" judge and scrutineer. At the university she directs the Social Dance Program where over 2000 students participate annually in some 30 classes. Marci teaches courses in ballroom pedagogy, technique and theory. She is an accomplished choreographer for ballroom dance teams and was recently recognized as a "Top Trainer" by the USISTD.
Betsy ia a former two-times U.S. Amateur Smooth Champion, a dual licentiate with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and a certified "Championship Judge" with the NDCA. She directs the BYU Youth Dancesport Program where 150 children, from ages 8 to 18, participate in formation ballroom dance. As an adjunct faculty member at BYU Betsy teaches in the technique program and is an accomplished chroegrapher and coach in the performance program.
Dawid is former U.S. Professional Rising Star Smooth Winner and World Professional Smooth Finalist. Additionally he is a six-times Polish Ten Dance Champion and twice ranked 1st in the Poland National Dance League. As an adjunct faculty member at the universtiy Dawid teaches in the International and Smooth style technique program. He is an accomplished teacher and coach of all styles with exceptional expertise in competitive dancesport.
Natalie is a former U.S. Professional Rising Star Smooth Winner and World Professional Smooth Finalist and a former four times US National Amateur Cabaret Champion. Natalie is a holds a dual licentiate certifications from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. As an adjunct faculty member at the universtiy she teaches in the International and Smooth Style technique program. Additionally Natalie directs the Junior dancesport team in the BYU Youth Dancesport Program..
